Our Winter Studio Recital week continues with Mr. Jacob and Mr. Philip’s studios! Bring a dish to share and come see how our students’ hard work has paid off!

Twice a year students are required to take a mandatory jury to assess their progress at Music Haven. Time slots will be scheduled in advance between the hours of 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM (TBA).

Debby Teason will be joining us to do a composition workshop with our students. They will be collaboratively creating a short composition by manipulating the elements of pitch, rhythm, timbre, dynamics, and tempo and sequencing the resulting themes in rondo form.

Voices: Untold Stories connects refugee storytellers with musicians from the Knights Orchestra and Music Haven. Through storytelling and music, we celebrate our shared humanity.

Our Voices: Untold Stories workshops connect refugee storytellers with musicians from The Knights and Music Haven. Through storytelling and music, we celebrate our shared humanity.

We kicked off our HERE to Play Workshops with Mattew Suttor and Planetary Solutions. The unique project allows our students to map environmental processes, such as the flocking of local birds, to music. This project aims to build a strong collaboration between scientists and students. Their plan is to collect data on local bird habitats and use technology to translate bird flight patterns into musical compositions. Matthew Sutter is a Senior Lecturer, composer, and educator at Yale.

NHPS Early Dismissal - There will be no lessons BUT we have our rose orchards trip (arrival at MUSIC HAVEN @ 2:30 pm - PICK UP TIME: 5:30 PM AT MUSIC HAVEN!)

This yearly event is hosted ONLY for our students who are a part of our Harmony In Action Ensemble at Music Haven.

Join us as we kick off the 24-25 season with the inaugural performance of the Haven String Quartet with its new members, Linda Numagami and Patrick Doane. This event celebrates Hispanic Heritage and marks the launch of Music Haven’s Voices: Untold Stories series, an inspirational storytelling experience sponsored by the International Association of New Haven.

For our first presentation in the Voices: Untold Stories series, the storyteller shares their extraordinary journey from Mexico as the quartet brings their experiences to life through improvisations.

Join us for our final performance of the 2023-2024 year! We will be celebrating all of our students and enjoying out time together as family and friends!

There will be NHPS Early Dismissal on Wednesday, May 8th. There will be no lessons. Please plan accordingly!
