Introducing Music Haven’s NEW Piano Lab!

Led by Resident Musician and Solo Pianist, Jacob Wang

The installation of our new Piano Lab lets up to six students play and attend class at once. Through connected headphones, the equipment lets students play individually, with partners, and as a class ensemble.

Beginner and Intermediate Group classes focus on reading both clefs, developing good posture and technique, learning music, and improvising. Group classes are 45 minutes each held three times a week for Beginners and twice a week for the Intermediate class. Students prepare for biannual recitals and juries while performing in the Greater New Haven Community throughout the year.

Piano Class for string players is offered to excelling and interested high school students. Students will learn to read both clefs and play both hands through the music they’ve learned on their instruments and supplemental materials.

In weekly Studio Classes, students in individual lessons gather with their peers and teacher for opportunities to perform portions of their current solo repertoire. We’ll also work through technique and reading exercises.
